Congratulations on impressing a dragon here at Ista Weyr! We hope that he is everything that you could want in a lifemate, though this inspiration is just a guideline for how to play your dragon. You are not required to follow all or any of it. Lenculoth is /yours/. Members of SearchCo have put many hours into the creation of your dragon, and we are excited to see how you develop the personality in your own, unique way. –-N'ano, D'baji and Lzi

Ah-Puch Egg:

A simple base coat of the deepest, darkest of blacks covers this egg's casing, flat and dull in its hue. However, splatters are randomly distributed over the boring shell, stabbings of a crimson blood color that decorate its otherwise plain appearance. Around the bottom of the shell are flickers of orange, yellow, and a bright red, curling up the sides like raging flames. Being larger than most and certainly not as attractive as its fellow sandmates, the egg has a certain eerie aura surrounding it, as if someone could just jump out from behind it screaming.

Clutching Message:

Ryazusith senses, by some sort of motherly instinct instilled at birth, causing her to linger with ease, slowly etching out a hollow for the next and last arrival. Her actions seem to have slowed in pace, dwindled to a leisurely, tending rate. A visible quiver passes her belly and hindquarters, another egg slowly, but surely, settling into its dwelling on the sands.

Hatching Message:

Ah-Puch Egg shakes, beginning to pick up the pace before it's practically bouncing back and forth off of the sands. Just as slowly as it began quaking, the egg stops its movement to become dangerous still. Suddenly, without any cracks, splinters, or warning, a dragonet emerges from the remaining shell with a shrill creel. Once it shakes free some lingering shell and goo, sharp eyes scrutinize the candidates. Someone feed me!

Queen of the Jungle Green Dragonet:

Wisps of bright green form an intricate lattice over rounded muzzle, then separate. In two directions, they ooze down her long, powerful neck to her underbelly, and climbing up between cerulean-flecked eyeridges and headknobs to skim along forest-green neckridges toward her tail. Striking silver accents her phalanges, while wide wingsails display murky browns bubbled with dark greens. Earthy browns stagnate along muscular sides, then slide into green and cerulean-tipped talons. The two strands of bright green interlace once more along her tail, condensing as they move towards its silver-tipped end.

Public Impression Message:

Queen of the Jungle Green Dragonet patiently makes her way among the candidates before calm eyes settle upon a shaggy haired boy. Curious to see who lies underneath the brown mop, she wobbles slowly but surely in the direction of the Healer. The green peers inquiringly up at the tall lad, a soft croon emitting from deep in her throat. Now sure that he's the one for her, she settles down like a canine would at his feet, gazing up into the green eyes of her new lifemate- S'eron.

Personal Impression Message:

The faint smell of freshly baked bread invades your mind for the briefest of moments before confetti erases all. « Hello there, young one. » thumps into your mind like the way a loud bass pounds into your chest at a party. « I believe you are what I've been searching for, S'eron. My name is Lenculoth, and it shall be a pleasure spending the rest of our lives together. »

Egg Inspiration:

The inspiration behind this egg is Ah-Puch, a Mayan God. He's the ruler of the 9th level of the underworld, the God of Death, and is basically pure evil. Basically, he seems like a fun little man. I figured I'd throw in an evil deity just for fun, and who better to do it then me? :) —Lzi

Description Inspiration:

We tried to follow your request for a stagnant pond colour scheme, but also to mix in hints of Leonardo (the ninja turtle!). Thus, along with the pond colours, there's the blue on her 'ridges and talons, like Leonardo's wristbands and mask, and silver on her wings, to represent his katanas. The neon green on her muzzle and tail are meant to give the darker parts of her a sort of 'shell' effect.

Name Inspiration:

Leonardo means 'lion.' Playing around with that (and a Latin-English dictionary) we came up with 'leunculus' which means 'little lion statue.' Leunculo is the ablative case of leunculus, so basically means 'with a little lion statue.' Lenculoth is a little easier on the tongue (and fingers!), and seemed to fit your girl quite nicely.

Flight Inspiration:

In the days leading up to her flights, Lenculoth will show you a side that you've never seen of her before. She'll be sexy, but insecure. She'll fuss about every single spot of her hide, wanting to make sure that she's perfectly oiled when you take her out in public. It just won't do for her not to look her absolute best.

She'll try her best to get the male dragons to pay attention to her, but ignore their interest once they do notice her. In a nutshell, she'll be a typical female - wanting males to pay attention to her, but not /too/ much attention. Be prepared, S'eron. Lenculoth's proddiness could last longer than is usual for a green dragon. Maybe it'll be a few days or perhaps a sevenday. Her thoughts and behaviors will carry over into you, too. You will be spending extra time in the baths making sure you smell especially fresh. Just make sure you don't spend too long in front of the looking glass combing that one piece of hair that just won't seem to do what you want it to do. Bad hair days will be a plenty while your green is proddy, at least in your mind.

When your green first rises in flight, you'll be caught up in a whirlwind of emotions. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll probably be pretty frustrated, but soon enough, it'll be done. All of that build up for days and days only for it to be over with in a blink of an eye.

Even if you object, Lenculoth will try and get her male lover to stick around longer after the flight. She'll swoon, she'll cuddle, and she'll strive to win the affection of every single male who catches her. Sometimes she'll succeed, sometimes she won't. But again, your green will only want her male to stick around as long as she wants him to. The second that she becomes bored with him, out he'll go. However, be warned that if a certain male doesn't stick around as long as she would like him to, she will completely block him out of her memory and curse you out if you so much /mention/ his name.

Leonardo: We turtles don't know the meaning of the word defeat.
Michaelangelo: That's right! We never bothered to look it up in the dictionary.

Lenculoth is a lean, mean, thread-fighting machine when it comes to Thread, too. When the time arises, she'll fearlessly take to the skies, ready and willing to do whatever it takes to rid Pern of the menace. She'll fly long and she'll fly hard, even sometimes to the point of sheer exhaustion. Only once the fall is over will she be pulled out of her trance, having really no memory of the heroic battle she just fought. Unlike many other green dragons, Lenculoth proudly shows off her battle scars like the most prestigious of
awards, sometimes even going so far as to comparing them with other dragons.

Leonardo: We have had our first battle, Master Splinter. They were many, but we kicked… We fought well.

Lenculoth is a perfectionist. There's no getting around that. But because of that, she has a moral sense and a maturity that is far beyond her turns. She also has a higher level of discipline that comes in handy when her clutchmates need guidance, or even you, S'eron. She's always willing to offer her mind for venting, though also just as willing to offer an opinion or two that you may or may not care for.

This discipline also molds into a very balanced personality. She likes to keep her darker emotions in check. If something upsets her, she may not be quick to let you know, rather work around it instead. We might just call that 'conquering her fears'. Life must go on, afterall. She's not about to spend a candlemark waiting for that spinner to move out of the way. Of course, she also has a love for life. This might just get to be a bit out of hand until you convince her otherwise. Squishing that spinner is not the way to
go. You'll just have to take a detour… as if she'd ever admit to -why-. « I just feel like going the long way, that's all. »

You know what else this love of life means, right? Those cute animals in the corral? Uh uh. That ain't gonna happen, buddy. Wherries, okay. They're ugly and can be pretty nasty. They don't deserve to graze on the precious greens of Pern. But woolies? Aww. Herdbeasts? They're kinda ugly too. Llamas? Now -who- in their right mind can eat a llama! Anything fluffy's certainly out of the picture. And you better not even think about eating anything like that too, S'eron. Needless to say, she's a very picky eater. If
those herdbeasts are small, they're not going into her tummy. They're just starting life out, afterall. Mostly, she'll just stick to those wherries. White meat all the way, baby!

Fishing's a fun sport for her. Fish are ugly, too. You might just find yourself waiting endless candlemarks on the beach while Lenculoth dives in and out of the sea, catching packtail after packtail. Hope you love seafood, because she's definitely going to want to share.

Something else you might discover about Lenculoth is her impatient attitude. She won't reprimand you, should you ever be late for a formation, but she'll tick tock in your mind, singing a little tune much like the theme to Jeopardy that'll be her own trademark for losing time. It's better to be early, anyway, and you might just find her waking you for drills a candlemark or three prior. And sleep? Once Rukbat's rays hit the horizon, you're already burning daylight! She's definitely an early bird, often rising before dawn to get a head start on things, with or without you.

Sacred Space:

When the day's end is near, it's time to collect one's thoughts and reflect. She rather likes those dark caves off of the Weyr tunnel. Hardly anyone ever goes into them, which gives her the privacy she wishes for. Though they're a bit musty and cold, it's by far the quietest place in the Weyr. Most of the time, she'll want you to accompany her because deep thought is good for your soul as well. Though silent conversations are more than easy to conduct, she feels that no one will interrupt the two of you if you're in that "special cave". Others might begin to wonder what you two are up to, but secrecy is very VERY important. Better not tell them! (Though wouldn't that just make them even /more/ curious?)

Lenculoth is going to be a very strong, very precise girl. She may be a bit awkward while she's growing - who isn't, really - but by the time she's reached maturity all her movements will be precise, almost calculated, and graceful in their simplicity. When she's excited (or possibly proddy), or when she's feeling the need to flaunt her ease of movement in the presence of a clunky, clumsy dragon, she'll throw some flourish into her motion; swing her hips a little, rustle her wingsails just so, and be able to pull it all off
quite admirably.

When it comes to flaming, Lenculoth will show a precision similar to the one she displays in her movements. If she's to cover large areas, she'll have to get the hang of belching flame while swinging her head back and forth- but Lenny's a very coordinated dragon, and this shouldn't prove so difficult. When it comes to catching what's been left by the bigger dragons, Lenculoth will be a star. She'll be able to pick out even the smallest strand of Thread, and will be able to hit it square on, nine times out of ten. She has about average endurance for a green, but because of the efficiency with which she's used to moving, she probably won't tire as quickly as her counterparts during drills, Fall, or flights.

Mind Voice:

Lenny's mind voice will ooze in and out of your consciousness, bringing with it very little imagery, but the most wondrous smells imaginable. When she's happy, Lenny will smell of a party; the sugary sweetness of pop floating up over the thicker scent of slightly burnt cheese and toasted bread that goes so well with pizza. When she's in deeper thought, Lenny will smell, almost feel, cool and humid in your mind. When she's excited, the smell of scorched air that accompanies a lightning strike will be obvious. If she's angry or brooding, Lenny will smell an awful lot like a sewer.
